He married twice. Everett married Nellie B. Nellie died May 7, 1917 in Meadow, Clay County, Iowa, at 45 years of age.^(14272) Her body was interred May 11, 1917 in Spencer, Clay County, Iowa.^(14273) Nellie, Minor Lewis Bingham's child, resided with Minor in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa circa 1888.^(14274) The family had probably moved there from Polk County, Iowa during the year.

Nellie was employed at organization unknown_________ as school teacher in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa circa 1889.^(14275) She taught as a kindergarten teacher for seven years prior to her marriage.

Nellie was listed on the Polk County School of Methods roll as a student in Polk County, Iowa circa 1892.^(14276) She was "a student studying school teaching."

When Nellie was age 30 and Everett Allen Tapley was age 35 they became the parents of Mary Elizabeth Tapley June 8, 1902 in Prairie City, Jasper County, Iowa.^(14277) Nellie was listed as a resident in the household of Everett Allen Tapley census report circa 1915 in Rockwell City, Calhoun County, Iowa.^(14278) Everett married Jennie Rosemeyer July 16, 1924 in Spencer, Clay County, Iowa.^(14279) The ceremony took place at the Methodist Parsonage.
