16. Thomas4 Fillebrown (Thomas3, Humpfrey2 Phillibrowne, Robert1 ffilebrowne)(125) was born in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony December 11, 1658.(126) Thomas died before June 7, 1736 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, at approximately 77 years of age.(127) Marge Lewis reported the place of death as being Charlestown.

Thomas married Rebeckah Cutter December 19, 1688 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Dominion of New England.(128) Wyman (1879) reported Cambridge as the place of marriage as did Sharples (1906). Roman (2006) and Lewis reported Charlestown as the place.

Rebeckah was born September 5, 1665 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.(129) Rebeckah(130) was the daughter of Richard Cutter and Frances Perriman. Rebeckah died July 26, 1741 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, at 75 years of age.(131) Rebeckah was baptized a religion unknown at the church/site unknown October 8, 1665 in Cambridge, Massachusetts Bay Colony.(132) When Rebeckah was age 24 and Thomas Fillebrown was age 30 they became the parents of Thomas Fillebrown Jr. September 18, 1689 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Dominion of New England.(133) Birthplace also reported to have been Charlestown.

When Rebeckah was age 26 and Thomas Fillebrown was age 33 they became the parents of Anna Fillebrown December 13, 1691 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.(134) When Rebeckah was age 28 and Thomas Fillebrown was age 34 they became the parents of Isaac Fillebrown September 7, 1693 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(135) When Rebeckah was age 30 and Thomas Fillebrown was age 36 they became the parents of Rebeckah Fillebrown November 6, 1695 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(136) When Rebeckah was age 34 and Thomas Fillebrown was age 41 they became the parents of John Fillebrown January 4, 1699/00 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(137) Source #40 says 1700 in Charlestown

When Rebeckah was age 37 and Thomas Fillebrown was age 44 they became the parents of Elizabeth Fillebrown May 10, 1703 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(138) When Rebeckah was age 41 and Thomas Fillebrown was age 48 they became the parents of Sarah Fillebrown July 5, 1707 in Menotomy (now Arlington), Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(139) The date also was reported to be July 15th.

When Rebeckah was age 45 and Thomas Fillebrown was age 52 they became the parents of Abigail Fillebrown August 18, 1711 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(140)

Thomas, Thomas Fillebrown's child, resided with Thomas in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony circa 1665.(141) According to Savage the family lived there in "1665 or earlier".

He was baptized a Puritan, Church of England at the Church of Christ at Cambridge May 20, 1666 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.(142) Thomas' father, Thomas, had been "admitted into fellowship and full Comm" two days earlier. Young Thomas and sister, Mary, were baptized on this date. Their mother, Hannah, was baptized October 14th. The minister the Rev. Jonathan Mitchell recorded this event in his records.

Thomas testified in a court case June 19, 1674 in Charlestown, Massachusetts Bay Colony.(143) The 1910 Genealogy states "His age in connection with testimony given by him in court in Charlestown, June 19, 1674, is recorded as 16 years."

When Thomas was age 30 and Rebeckah Cutter was age 24 they became the parents of Thomas Fillebrown Jr. September 18, 1689 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Dominion of New England.(144) Birthplace also reported to have been Charlestown.

When Thomas was age 33 and Rebeckah Cutter was age 26 they became the parents of Anna Fillebrown December 13, 1691 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.(145) When Thomas was age 34 and Rebeckah Cutter was age 28 they became the parents of Isaac Fillebrown September 7, 1693 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(146) When Thomas was age 36 and Rebeckah Cutter was age 30 they became the parents of Rebeckah Fillebrown November 6, 1695 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(147) In Mary Browne's will May 15, 1696 in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, Thomas Fillebrown was named as an heir.(148) "In this instrument she devised to kinsman Thomas Fillebrown (of Charlestown and Cambridge) and his three children, Mary, Thomas, and John; to daughter-in-law Mary Kemble (i.e., Mary (Brigden) Kemble, second wife of her son-in-law Henry Kemble); to Mary wife of Nathaniel Chapman of Ipswich; Sarah Bass; Abigail Voden; Joanna Everton; William and Mary Hough and her daughter Mary Brickneal; to Sarah Robinson; to wife of John Adams of Notomy. To Nathaniel Cary (Carey) of Charlestown she devised the house late belonging to her first husband, "Captain Founell." Executors were Nathaniel Chapman and Thomas Phillebrown) (Thomas Fillebrown), both of Charlestown, whose wives Mary Carey and Anna Fillebrown signed receipts (Pope, Pioneers, 179."

When Thomas was age 41 and Rebeckah Cutter was age 34 they became the parents of John Fillebrown January 4, 1699/00 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(149) Source #40 says 1700 in Charlestown

January 15, 1699/1700, Thomas, a Puritan, Church of England, was a member of the Cambridge Church in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(150) When Thomas was age 44 and Rebeckah Cutter was age 37 they became the parents of Elizabeth Fillebrown May 10, 1703 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(151) In Isaac Cole's will, Thomas was named by Isaac to handle his estate February 10, 1706/07 in Squamscott (now part of Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.(152) "Isaac Cole (Jr.) made his will on 10 Feb. 1706/07, being then of Quamescott (now Squamscott) in New Hampshire, and left his property to "cosen Isac Foss, cosen John Felibroun, cosen Thomas Felibroun, sister Felibroun, her daughter Mary, brother Jacobs three children, cosen Abigail Foss and her son, brother Abraham Cole, exes. cosens John and Thomas Fillebrown". Of course, by "cosen" he meant nephew and niece."

In Isaac Cole's will February 10, 1706/07 in Squamscott (now part of Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, Thomas Fillebrown was named as an heir.(153) "Isaac Cole (Jr.) made his will on 10 Feb. 1706/07, being then of Quamescott (now Squamscott) in New Hampshire, and left his property to "cosen Isac Foss, cosen John Felibroun, cosen Thomas Felibroun, sister Felibroun, her daughter Mary, brother Jacobs three children, cosen Abigail Foss and her son, brother Abraham Cole, exes. cosens John and Thomas Fillebrown". Of course, by "cosen" he meant nephew and niece."

Thomas Fillebrown purchased land from Jonathan Dunster circa 1722 in Menotomy (now Arlington), Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(157) The 1910 Genealogy states that the land consisted of "three and one-half acres." Menotomy was later known as West Cambridge and Arlington.

Thomas resided in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay circa 1727.(158) Thomas registered to pay taxes circa 1727 in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.(159) He continued on the tax roll until 1733.

Thomas' will was probated June 7, 1736 in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(160) The 1910 Genealogy states "His widow, Rebecca, and his son Isaac were appointed, June 7, 1736, administrators of his estate which was inventoried, inn, house and stable, and three and one-half acres at 213 pounds...".

Thomas Fillebrown and Rebeckah Cutter had the following children:

John Fillebrown(161) was born in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay January 4, 1699/00.(162) Source #40 says 1700 in Charlestown John died October 17, 1772 in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, at 72 years of age.(163) John resided in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(164)

child 29 vi. Elizabeth Fillebrown(165) was born in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay May 10, 1703.(166) Elizabeth married Moses Boardman December 25, 1746 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(167) (Additional notes for Moses Boardman(168))
