He had Anemia which contributed to his death from cerebral hemorrhage. His body was interred January 18, 1913 in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.^(11993) Burial was at the Glendale Cemetery.

William married Hannah Elizabeth Allen May 18, 1862 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.^(11994) Hannah was born June 24, 1840 in North Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.^(11995) Hannah^(11996) was the daughter of Walter Morris Allen and Almira Davenport. Hannah died May 25, 1926 in Clarinda, Nodaway Township, Page County, Iowa at 85 years of age.^(11997) She died at Clarinda State Hospital.

Her body was interred circa May 1926 in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.^(11998) Burial was at the Glendale Cemetery.
