failure and kidney failure." In their tribute to Leslie BASCI reported "She did get to make a trip via helicopter to Washington Hospital
Center, where she spent her last days. She spoke of the beautiful view of washington, DC and how she joked with the pilot. Despite being
gravely ill, she was able to appreciate and value life."

illness and overcame it....for a while. The cancer returned, this time attacking her lymph system. Again, Leslie fought a brave battle and
never gave up. She amazed all of us here at BSCAI with her courage and her positive attitude. Even when she was sick from chemotherapy and
from the cancer itself, she still came in and worked hard to help those who needed it. Through it all she remained cheerful, dedicated and
never complained. Even at the very end she came in to work despite the fact she could barely walk down the hall to the bathroom. She drove
herself to the hospital so that she wouldn't be a burden, with high hopes that she would soon be out. Sadly, she never made it."

Leslie passed away on January 1st, 2004. Leslie served BSCAI members and others in the industry for 16 years. She had a great knowledge of
the association and its members and she cheerfully helped everyone who came her way. She was a dedicated employee, known for her
helpfulness, and being a stickler for detail. "It was a pleasure and an honor for me to have the privilege of working with Leslie over the
years." says Carol Dean, Executive Vice President of BSCAI, 'She was a tremendous example of how to live and die with great dignity.'"
Leslie's memorial service was held January 16, 2004 at the Unitarian-Universalist Church in Fairfax, Virginia.(16415)
