Perhaps that was his Baptism date, Edward died July 9, 1798 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, at 53 years of age.(1655) He died of Bilious fever. His body was interred circa 1798 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.(1656) "His grave in the Cambridge Burying Ground is about half-way between the Garden Street wall (about 22' from Garden Street) and those of the other Fillebrowns, marked by a large slate headstone.

Conflicting evidence states that Edward was born June 8, 1749 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(1666) When Edward was age 26 and Lydia Prentice was age 25 they became the parents of Lydia Fillebrown before June 16, 1771 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(1667) When Edward was age unknown and Lydia Prentice was age unknown they became the parents of Edward Fillebrown circa 1772 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(1668) Edward served in the military circa 1775.(1669) The 1910 Genealogy states "Fillebrown, Edward, Cambridge (probably) Private Capt. Samuel Thatcher's Company, Col. Gardner's regiment, which marched on the alarm of Apr. 19, 1775; service 1 day. Also Capt. John Walton's company: enlisted Dec. 9, 1776; discharged Dec. 12, 1776; co. detached for service at Noodle's Island; also, same company; company receipt for rations and wages for service at Noodle's Island in December, 1776, and dated Cambridge, May 9, 1777." "... A son Edward was only 26 years old, and would naturally have had a longer record than the above four days. Fuller investigation is necessary to determine to which Edward this record applies." In spite of the latter comment, I have placed this event under the Edward born June 8, 1744 rather than under his father who was born circa 1710.

Edward's will was probated September 5, 1798.(1674) The will "mentions his wife, Lydia, and his oldest son, Edward."

A cemetery visited.(1675) On September 1, 1999, Charles Jerry Fillebrown and his wife Sue visited the grave of Edward Fillebrown in the Cambridge Burying Ground, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Edward is Jerry's half first cousin 5 times removed.

Lydia was baptized a religion unknown at the Church of Christ at Cambridge June 16, 1771 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.(1682) She was baptised by Dr. Haven.
