Ellen was listed on the local school roll as a student in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts circa 1850.⁽⁸⁷⁵⁴⁾ Ellen was listed as a household member of James Frothingham Hunnewell's household on the 1850 Census in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.⁽⁸⁷⁵⁵⁾ The ages of James, Susannah, and Ellen were each in error. There were 4 people living in the home that were not family members so it is possible that one of them gave the census taker the erroneous information.
