1758. Joel Ashton¹¹ Fillebrown (Robert Lee¹⁰, Thomas Cordera⁹, Col. Henry Clay⁸, Thomas⁷, Hon. Thomas⁶, John⁵, John⁴, Thomas³, Humpfrey² Phillibrowne, Robert¹ ffilebrowne)^(14872) was born in Washington, District of Columbia October 3, 1933.^(14873) The birth was at Georgetown Hospital. Joel died June 19, 2013 in Winchester, Virginia, at 79 years of age.

Joel graduated from Washigton-Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia circa 1952. Joel reported for active duty June 1953 in Bainbridge, Worcester County, Maryland. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and attended Boot Camp until August 1953 when he became an Airman Apprentice.

Joel served in the military September 1953 in Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. He attended the U.S. Navy's Aviation Basic School until November 1953.

Joel served in the military November 1953 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. He was a student at the Navy's AT(A) School from November 1953 until June 1954. In March he was promoted to Airman and in June he became an Electronics Airman. From July 1954 to September 1955 He attended Instructor Training for two months and was a Radar Instructor from August 1954 until September 1955. In November 1954 he became Aviation Electronics Petty Officer Third Class, in November 1955 be became Aviation Electronics Petty Officer Second Class, and in November 1956 he became Aviation Electronics Petty Officer First Class.

Joel served in the military November 1955 in Quonset, Washington County, Rhode Island. Joel was the Squadron VP-8 Radarman until April 1956.

Joel served in the military April 1956 in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. Joel worked as a Technician in the Electronics Shop from April 1956 to November 1956. After that he was Crew Leader for a Flight Line Crew from November 1956 to June 1957.

He was released from active duty in the United States Navy by Honorable Discharge June 1957 in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. When Joel was age 27 and Mary Delores Linville was age 19 they became the parents of Thomas Ressie Fillebrown October 23, 1960 in Alexandria, Virginia. When Joel was age 29 and Mary Delores Linville was age 21 they became the parents of Teresa Marie Fillebrown November 15, 1962 in Alexandria, Virginia. When Joel was age 33 and Mary Delores Linville was age 26 they became the parents of Timothy Joel Fillebrown July 30, 1967 in Alexandria, Virginia. Joel resided in East Falls Church, Arlington County, Virginia circa 1968. Joel & Delores moved there in 1960. The address was 1926 Underwood. Children Thomas, Teresa, and Timothy were born while the family lived there. They moved in 1968.

Joel was baptized a Baptist at the Potomac Baptist Church December 26, 1971 in Sterling, Loudoun County, Virginia. Joel resided in Sterling, Loudoun County, Virginia circa 1973. The family moved there in 1968. The address was 19908 Young Cliff Road. Tracy was born while the family lived there. Thomas left the family home in 1984. Teresa left the family home in 1995. The rest of the family moved in 1996.

When Joel was age 40 and Mary Delores Linville was age 32 they became the parents of Tracy Jo Fillebrown November 22, 1973 Leesburg, Loudoun County, Virginia. Joel was employed at Xerox Corporation as occupation unknown circa 1976. He was there until 1995.

Joel retired from Xerox Corporation February 1995. He was at the Old Dominion District.

Joel resided in Cape Coral, Lee County, Florida after 1996. The address was 2511 S.E. 19th Place. They continued to live there in 2002.

This was his retirement activity. In 1999 Joel reported "I am trying my best to really get back into the flying of radio controlled model aircraft. I seem to be making very good progress after about a three year layoff. All my planes are aerobatic types, no trainers, and they have to be flown all the time they are in the air. I haven't broken any, so I consider that a major milestone."

Joel resided in Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia circa November 2002. Joel and Delores sold their home in Florida and temporarily moved in with his father while they built a new home. The address was 1410 Pierce Road.

Joel's funeral was held June 29, 2013 at a Funeral Home Chapel in Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia. The memorial service for Joel was held at the Enders and Shirley Funeral Home Chapel.
