992. Nathaniel Blanchard⁹ Buxton (Anna Almira⁸ Fillebrown, James Bowdoin⁷, Hon. Thomas⁶, John⁵, John⁴, Thomas³, Humpfrey² Phillibrowne, Robert¹ ffilebrowne)⁽⁹⁷⁰³⁾ was born in Winthrop, Kennebec County, Maine November 6, 1866.⁽⁹⁷⁰⁴⁾ It is probable that he was born at the home of Anna's parents as other information indicates that the family actually lived in Fayette, ME at this time.

Nathaniel married Harriette Bailey Smith October 14, 1896.⁽⁹⁷⁰⁵⁾ Harriette was born July 27, 1873 in Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts.⁽⁹⁷⁰⁶⁾ Harriette⁽⁹⁷⁰⁷⁾ was the daughter of George H. Smith and Emily J. Benner. When Harriette was age 30 and Nathaniel Blanchard Buxton was age 37 they became the parents of Margaret Buxton March 14, 1904 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.⁽⁹⁷⁰⁸⁾

Nathaniel, Nathaniel Blanchard Buxton's child, resided with Nathaniel in Orono, Penobscot County, Maine circa 1872.⁽⁹⁷⁰⁹⁾ Nathaniel, Nathaniel Blanchard Buxton's child, resided with Nathaniel in Orono, Penobscot County, Maine circa 1872.⁽⁹⁷¹⁰⁾ Nathaniel, Nathaniel Blanchard Buxton's child, resided with Nathaniel in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine. Nathaniel, Nathaniel Blanchard Buxton's child, resided with Nathaniel in North Anson, Somerset County, Maine circa 1874.⁽⁹⁷¹¹⁾ The home was there until at least 1884.

Nathaniel, Nathaniel Blanchard Buxton's child, resided with Nathaniel in Newtonville, Middlesex County, Massachusetts circa 1885.⁽⁹⁷¹²⁾ Upon the death of her husband, in 1886, Almira Butler Fillebrown lived for a year with her daughter Anna Almira Fillebrown Buxton. The record is unclear as to the residence of the senior Nathaniel Blanchard for several years prior to 1900. He operated a business in Sioux City, Iowa although Anna apparently stayed in Newtonville. He returned to Newtonville on account of failing health shortly before his death in 1990. It appears that Anna stayed in Newtonville to care for her invalid daughter.

When Nathaniel was age 37 and Harriette Bailey Smith was age 30 they became the parents of Margaret Buxton March 14, 1904 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.⁽⁹⁷¹³⁾
