He married twice. Charles married Mary L. Kittredge January 26, 1887.⁽⁸⁴⁷³⁾ Mary⁽⁸⁴⁷⁴⁾ was the daughter of Russell Kittredge and Fanny Holmes. Mary, Russell Kittredge's child, resided with Russell in Jaffrey, Cheshire County, New Hampshire circa 1887.⁽⁸⁴⁷⁵⁾ The home was there until at least 1893.

When Mary was age 21 and Charles Henry Kittredge was age 22 they became the parents of Edward Holmes Kittredge September 16, 1888 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.⁽⁸⁴⁷⁶⁾ Charles married Elizabeth F. Bean August 30, 1893.⁽⁸⁴⁷⁷⁾ Elizabeth⁽⁸⁴⁷⁸⁾ was the daughter of Jacob Bean and Unknown (________). When Elizabeth was age 25 and Charles Henry Kittredge was age 29 they became the parents of Dorothy Winsor Kittredge September 15, 1895 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.⁽⁸⁴⁷⁹⁾ When Elizabeth was age 31 and Charles Henry Kittredge was age 34 they became the parents of Hope Kittredge April 10, 1901 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.⁽⁸⁴⁸⁰⁾

When Charles was age 22 and Mary L.
