Joseph married Lavina Campbell August 24, 1830.⁽⁵⁶⁷²⁾ Lavina was born February 25, 1809 in Union, Madison County, New York.⁽⁵⁶⁷³⁾ Lavina⁽⁵⁶⁷⁴⁾ was the daughter of Jeremiah Campbell and Elizabeth Rockwell. When Lavina was age 22 and Joseph Adams Locke was age 27 they became the parents of Mary Augusta Locke February 1, 1832 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.⁽⁵⁶⁷⁵⁾
