371. John⁸ Fillebrown Brown (Calvin⁷, James⁶, Thomas⁵, Thomas⁴, Thomas³, Humpfrey² Phillibrowne, Robert¹ ffilebrowne)⁽⁴²⁸⁸⁾ was born circa 1801.⁽⁴²⁸⁹⁾

John married Joanna Winslow October 8, 1825 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.⁽⁴²⁹⁰⁾ This was the date of their Intention of Marriage. (Additional notes for Joanna Winslow⁽⁴²⁹¹⁾)

This is a bit of history.⁽⁴²⁹²⁾ On March 22, 1834 the court in Taunton Massachusettts allowed "that John Fillebrown of Taunton, may take the name of John Brown; that Joanna Fillebrown, wife of said Jon Fillebrown, and his minor daughter, Susan, and his minor sons, John, Calvin, and Seth Henry, may severally take the surname of Brown."

John, Calvin Fillebrown's child, resided with Calvin in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts circa 1820.⁽⁴²⁹³⁾ This is a bit of history.⁽⁴²⁹⁴⁾ On March 22, 1834 the court in Taunton Massachusettts allowed "that John Fillebrown of Taunton, may take the name of John Brown; that Joanna Fillebrown, wife of said Jon Fillebrown, and his minor daughter, Susan, and his minor sons, John, Calvin, and Seth Henry, may severally take the surname of Brown."

This is a bit of history.⁽⁴²⁹⁵⁾ In May 1838 John Fillebrown alias John Brown stated he was age 37 and was the 6th child of Calvin Fillebrown.
