Calvin died February 23, 1822 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts, at 62 years of age.(2322) He died of consumption. His body was interred circa 1822 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.(2323) Burial was at Broadway Cemetery.

Calvin served in the military January 12, 1778 in Rhode Island.(2338) His name is shown as Calvin Filebrown ".... Private Capt. Isreal Trow's Co. Col. John Daggett's regiment; entered service Jan. 12, 1778; discharged Mar. 31, 1778; service 2 months, 20 days. Company drafted to serve under Major Gen. Spencer at Rhode Island for three months from Jan. 1, 1778."

Calvin served in the military June 21, 1778 in Rhode Island.(2339) "Private Captain Samuel Robinson's Company; enlisted June 21, 1778, service 22 days at Rhode Island; company raised to serve in Vol. Wade's regiment for 21 days from July (June) 21, 1778."

Calvin served in the military August 25, 1778 in Rhode Island.(2340) "Also Captain Josiah Keith's Company, Col. John Daggett's regiment; enlisted Aug. 25, 1778; discharged Sept. 3, 1778; service 9 days at Rhode Island; ..."

Calvin served in the military August 20. 1779 in Springfield, unknown County, unknown state.(2341) "...also Major Harwood's Co. 6th Mass. regiment; entered service Aug. 20, 1779; discharged May 20, 1780; terms 9 months, ..."

Calvin served in the military August 22, 1779 in Springfield, unknown County, unknown state.(2342) "... also company receipt for equipments, given to Capt. James Tisdale, dated Springfield Aug. 22, 1779; ..."

Calvin served in the military October 29, 1779 in Springfield, unknown County, unknown state.(2343) "... also, descriptive list dated October 29, 1779 of men mustered by James Leonard, Muster Master for Bristo Co. to serve in the Continental Army for the term of 9 months from the time of their arrival at Springfield; 3d co., Col. Dean's regt.; age 22 yrs; stature 5 ft. 5 in., complexion, light; hair, brown; eyes, blue; engaged for town of Mansfield."
