"The paramedic who helped Stephen King when he was struck by a van earlier this month said the best-selling horror writer is lucky to be alive. During the ambulance ride, King told paramedic Paul Fillebrown that he looked over his shoulder and saw the van heading toward him so he tried to jump out of the way, Fillebrown said. That van would have gone right over the top of him Fillebrown said. He wouldn't have lived through that. Instead King was struck by the van's right front corner and thrown about 14 feet off the road where he had been walking along the shoulder. His injuries included a collapsed lung, broken ribs, and a head laceration." It is also of interest that Donna Trefry taught Steven King music when he was a kid in Durham, Maine. There were several Fillebrowns involved including: Douglas Allen Fillebrown, Paul Harold Fillebrown, Adam Scott Fillebrown, Terra Lee Edwards Fillebrown, and Charles Augustus Fillebrown III. By the way, Donna Trefry and Paul are 8th cousins being 9 generations from Thomas Fillebrown and Rebecca Cutter.
