Silas married Ruth Staples Withey March 27, 1868.⁽⁷¹⁸⁷⁾ Ruth was born April 19, 1836.⁽⁷¹⁸⁸⁾ Ruth⁽⁷¹⁸⁹⁾ was the daughter of John Withey and Isabella (________). Ruth, John Withey's child, resided with John in Copeland Town, Franklin County, Maine.⁽⁷¹⁹⁰⁾ When Ruth was age 34 and Silas Fillebrown was age 36 they became the parents of George Edwin Fillebrown June 20, 1870 in Maine.⁽⁷¹⁹¹⁾ Ruth, as Silas's wife, resided with him in Skowhegan, Somerset County, Maine.⁽⁷¹⁹²⁾ Silas lived in Skowhegan for twenty-five years and it is likely that his wife, Ruth, and his son, George, lived there during that time.

Silas was employed at his own business as a blacksmith date unknown.⁽⁷¹⁹³⁾ When Silas was age 36 and Ruth Staples Withey was age 34 they became the parents of George Edwin Fillebrown June 20, 1870 in Maine.⁽⁷¹⁹⁴⁾ Silas resided in Skowhegan, Somerset County, Maine.⁽⁷¹⁹⁵⁾ Silas lived in Skowhegan for twenty-five years and it is likely that his wife, Ruth, and his son, George, lived there during that time.
