Thomas Gould⁷ Fillebrown (Howard Rand⁶, John⁵, ⁴ UNCONNECTED LINES, Thomas³ Fillebrown, Humpfrey² Phillibrowne, Robert¹ ffilebrowne)⁽³⁸⁶²⁾ was born in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts March 13, 1844.⁽³⁸⁶³⁾ "His name of Thomas Gould came about in an interesting way. His father, the youngest of fourteen children, weighing at birth but three pounds, and not expected to live, was intrusted to the affectionate care of freshly bereaved neighbors and friends, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Gould, by whom he was raised, without formal adoption, to robust manhood. Gratitude prompted him to name his son after his friend and benefactor." By yhr time of the 1900 census he was reporting his name as being "Frank".
